We’re big in Baton Rouge
Believe it or not, the turmoil at NU has sports fans all around the country talking.
Today, Darren was interviewed by Baton Rouge's 1210 AM - The Score. He gave LSU fans some insight into what's happening in Lincoln and the chances that Bo Pelini might leave his post as Defensive Coordinator at LSU and return to Lincoln.
You can listen to the interview below. Unfortunately, their web stream was a little glitchy today and I missed the opening and some in the middle. But it's worth a listen to hear what folks outside of Nebraska are saying about the Huskers.

Thanks for dropping that audio in there for folks, Jason.
The opening was just them set up the conversation and introducing me.
And, in the middle, I just rehashed the notion that the “universe of coaches” is bigger than some may know. The noteworthy quote was “nobody outside of Ohio had ever heard of Jim Tressel before he took the Ohio State job.” Being good hosts, they agreed. ;-)
Like most people, I hate the way my voice sounds when recorded. Otherwise, fun times on the radio.

Darren, as somebody that actually critiques voice as part of my job, you actually have a good radio voice…both tone and pace. Unfortunately, you have a radio face too. Just kidding :-)
I thought it was a great interview! Good work!

Great interview Darren. In the posting you did for Psst.. Have you heard the latest, I’m sorry you took it that way. I promise that wasn’t the intent. I just wanted to point out other reasons for wanting Bo. Because I think he represents all of the things I capitalized in my response. Sorry. I would like to hear their radio call in show with their fans and what they think about all of this. Is that possible next time you talk to them?

Pretty soon I’ll be able to say…“I knew Darrnen when…” :)

No worries “cvldfg”. I wasn’t offended in the slightest. And, in re-reading my post, I didn’t do a good job of stating the simple fact that Pelini would be a good coach. Because, I believe he could. I just get tired of the e-mails about it being a lock.
And, I hope there is a next time with the folks in Baton Rouge. And hey, you can always stream their show online, and call in and ask yourself. God bless the Internet.
