First read every article on this site from this week. Next ready every article tagged as Big 12 title game coverage in ESPN's blogging network and you'll be set. You will probably be the most expert person at the game, or watching the game, or thinking about the game wherever you are if you do those two things. They had too many good tidbits this week to call out individually in The Weekly Buzz. On to the show.
Nebraska's history of heartbreak » The Huskers have had a long history of unfortunate chances against Texas since the Big 12 started. The Austin American Statesman puts it a different way: we've been owned by Texas since the Big 12 began.
Texas Defense has a weakness? » If they showed it against A&M, I'm sure we won't see it or be able to take advantage of it. But Mack Brown wasn't too happy with his team's performance against the Aggies. But to say they're staggering is a little bit much, and apparently have redemption on their mind. But what sets both Mack Brown and Bo Pelini apart from other coaches is that they were both extremely unimpressed with the work of their defenses last week.
Mack Brown wants Big 12 Championship permanently moved » Are we still fighting about this? Maybe NU is not just playing for the Big 12, they're playing for the whole North getting a glimmer of another home type atmosphere against a South team. Mack Brown says it should be moved to the Deathstar FOR EV ER. Our boys over at DXP called BS on Mack Brown about all of the main points, and I couldn't have said it better myself. Memorize these points to argue with that Texas fans you're sitting next to in the plane, or by the gate, or in a bar, or in your seat at Jerrydome.
It's Burkhead week on the internets » The Burkhead love fest is in overdrive. Lincoln Coverage. Texas Coverage. National Coverage. But come on Omaha World Herald, Rex appeal? That's all you could come up with? Leave the clever word plays with names up to the bloggers.
Embrace the BCS Buster role » The Fiesta Bowl is watching the game this weekend very closely, as they will have some difficult decisions if Nebraska beats Texas. Ndamukong Suh and company have got their eyes on a BCS Bowl, and getting through Texas is a by-product of that. We've got a chance to blow up the BCS, and we should take it.
In other news » Asante gets some love. Suh's First Team All Big 12, Defensive POY, Defensive Lineman of the Year, more to come.... Is there a Pelini-Watson rift? Keys to the game.

The Big 12 Championship game should be either in a neutral location or at one of the other Big 12 stadiums not normally in use, in my opinion.
This could pose a problem with Kansas State’s stadium and Jack Trice Stadium, when it comes to volume. Not really sure what the fair solution to that one is.
Let’s all just face facts. The Big 12 Championship game has gone the way of the Red River Rivalry. Going to be played in Texas every year although it’s supposed to be half way between Norman and Austin. They also have their own Bowl game. You watch, that new stadium will be a new Bowl game at the years end, in the future.
All of that big Texas money from all of those ‘oileys’ and one in particular (‘Jerra’ Jones) who won’t be happy till he’s ruined the college game like he’s doing to the NFL.
Kansas City, MO

You and I are in major agreement in this one. Jones is seemingly trying to get is way in college football which could lead to some major problems.
Do you not consider Arrowhead a neutral stadium? Because unless they build a stadium somewhere on the border of Oklahoma and Kansas for the exclusive use of the Big 12, there is no real neutral site.

The game should be played in Denver. That is as neutral a site as you are going to find, being the Bisons won’t be in the title game any time in the near future.

As fantastic of a defensive game as I could imagine!
