Huskers Add End

Nebraska added a recruit for the class of 2013 this week in junior college defensive end Randy Gregory. This comes after a decommitment by highly rated defensive end Christian Lacouture. Gregory will have three years of eligibility for the Huskers and helps fill a position of need with NU set to lose three of the top four players at defensive end on the depth chart to graduation. Gregory has offers from a number of schools including Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, Oregon State, Purdue, UCLA, Utah, Washington, and West Virginia (among others).

Gregory is 6'5" and 240 lbs. according to 247sports.com which lists him as the third best overall junior college prospect nationally and the top weakside defensive end. Originally from Indiana, he now attends Arizona Western where he is redshirting due to a broken leg in the season opener.

Gregory had over twenty tackles for loss in 2011 at Arizona Western. He's expected to be a pass rushing end for NU. He'd like to add weight and certainly has the frame to do so.

The Huskers could still add as many as eleven players for the class of 2013. Gregory is the first commitment since early August. Perhaps his commitment will get the ball rolling for more players to join the fold in the near future.

Wow!!! An elite DE…much needed after the decomittment of CL. Best DE in the country of the JUCO guys…very impressive. Lets hope he’s our beast!
Good get.

Welcome to B1G Red my good man!
I would say break a leg but it seems
you already have that out of the way
already.  Welcome to your new home
and tireless fan base!

Keep em coming!

How do you guys think a trip to the Conference Championship or possibly Rose bowl could change the recruiting class?

Who would you rather have…LaCouture or Gregory? Both are 4 stars. But Christian LaCaouture has left every place he’s ever been…he decommited from Texas A&M when he came here, and he was at 4 different high schools before that. He and his family moved here from Texas so he could play at nebraska…the guy can’t make a commitment. I wonder why Gregory was in the Juco ranks?

PE…good point…I’m sorry, but, I just have no use for people who have no honor…that is what breaking your word means to me.  Years ago when I was as young as these ballplayers, my dad told me all about what it means to promise someone something…didn’t matter what…you just did it or you would answer to him.  These were the days when a handshake was the best contract not written.  So, please don’t gag me with this crap about them being 18 year old kiddies…they know better…they just don’t have what it takes to follow through.  By the way, could someone explain to me, how, when we hold Michigan to 3 FG’s the so-called experts are predi cting scores like: NU 27   Michysteak 24?

Because 28-24.  They all know about Martinez’ mistakes.

Sorry, that was kind of a cheap shot.  Martinez played like crazy.  But crazy showed up double.  And yes, the ref’s gave it to Nebraska at the end, but they had made a lot of bad calls against Nebraska throughout the game.  Not all were bad, of course, but some critical ones, especially the shove-hit out of bounds.

Hello! dakecbe interesting dakecbe site! I’m really like it! Very, very dakecbe good!
