If there's one thing I learned living outside the state of Nebraska for the past ten years it's this: On any given fall Saturday, in any city around the country, if you look hard enough, you can find fellow Nebraskans to watch the Husker game with.
This week, we're shining the spotlight on the Washington Cornhuskers alumni group in Seattle, Washington.
Jason Grotelueschen, president of the Washington Cornhuskers alumni chapter, reports that this week over 250 Husker fans watched the game at The Lucky 7 in Kirkland on the banks of Lake Washington, east of Seattle.
There were also over 70 Cornhuskers at O'Blarneys Pub in Olympia on the south side of Seattle.
Local Radio Coverage
For a number of years, Husker fans and Nebraskan-owned businesses have sponsored radio broadcasts of Husker games on local Seattle-area radio. You can listen to every Husker game live on KKNW/1150AM in Bellevue, WA or KLAY/1180AM in Lakewood, WA or online at 1150KKNW.com or KLAY1180.com.

I am stationed at Fort Jackson (Columbia), SC. Does anyone know if their is a gathering site for displaced Husker fans in Columbia?

In the past at least it looks like Huskers met in Aiken at the Aiken Brewing Co. or Carolina Wings & Rib House in Florence.
Might be worth giving either place a call to see if they’re still meeting.

Yes…we just moved here from Maryland, any Husker group in Spokane….? Maybe we are the beginnings of one?

We are getting ready to move to Spokane at the end of October, if any of you know of anything that would be great. Maybe we can start a goup or find a place.

My family members and I have been watching NU games at the Lucky 7 in Kirkland for the past two years. It’s like a little slice of home right here in Washington State. Hats off to Jason and John and all those people who volunteer their time and work so hard to keep this going. Thanks and GO BIG RED.

Looking for a place to share NU/WA game Sat. 9/18 in Columbia, SC area. Does anyone know if Beef O’Brady’s is a gathering spot? There’s one in NE part of town on Hardscrabble & 1 west part of town on North Lake Dr (actually Irmo/Lexingtion)

Went to Lucky 7 from Spokane for game against UW with my wife, son and his fiance (from Texas).
Great experience, real good food. Great service.
