Blogpoll Ballot – Week 1

Here again we present the Big Red Network ballot for the college football top 25 poll at M Go Blog. Like the AP and coaches, I pushed USC ahead of Georgia on the strength of the performance against Virginia and the bland performance against Georgia Southern, respectively.

I nearly moved KU into the top 25 and could next week (even if they still seem likely to lose a week later). Virginia Tech, Illinois, and Tennessee all drop out while South Carolina, UCLA, and Cal move into the rankings.

I like this Top 25 list with the exception of South Carolina. They looked absolutely horrible in their game against North Carolina State. It was not just the interceptions ... but South Carolina looked abysmal on very side of the ball. They do not belong in the Top 25 I don’t care who their coach is.

Did you catch the whole game?  Beecher definitely had his issues but Smelley was perfect on the night and Davis had a nice day toting the rock.  Add to that a defensive shutout and I thought it was a strong performance (34-0 the final score).  Sagarin has them in his top 10.

Has anyone heard or seen the VT web-sites?  I live in the heart of ACC country and you can’t get a peep out of them.  It is hilarious.

I hate to say I told you so, but in this case, HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

I hope one of them gets on here and sees this.  8-4 at best for them.  And that is only because the ACC SUUUUUCCCKKKKKKKKSSSSSS !!!!!!!!!!
